DT:Premiere | Hemka - The Bad Place [Mutual Rytm]

The Stuttgart, Germany-based record label Mutual Rytm is home to the well-known artist SHDW. Numerous exceptional producers, like Grindvik, Raffaele Attanasio, Stigmata, and Alarico, have their music featured on the label.

For more than ten years, Hemka has been influencing techno and expanding her global following with her work on quality labels like Ben Sims’ Symbolism, Kriz’s Token, and TWR72’s Float, to name only a few. The Paris-based artist drops her first full release for Mutual Rytm titled Introspection, which follows an appearance on a compilation, and she shows her full repertoire with 7 original works in total.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “The Bad Place” is a punchy percussion workout. Its raw, rolling groove has a classic sound with an eerie atmosphere. The recharge at the breakdown spins it back to a stripped back and jackin’ style that is all about moving the dance floor.
