DT:Premiere | dotwav - Distance (Cadency Remix) [KONFLKT]

The new Berlin imprint KONFLKT has a strong back catalogue already, enlisting contributors such as Charlton, Martyn Hare and Jamie Haus for example.

Ran by dotwav, the forthcoming release called Insanity features 2 originals and 2 remixers, with one being the awesome I/Y and a new alias known as Cadency.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the remix by Cadency also known as Héctor Oaks, who has released on the likes of Labrynth, Mutewax, Quant and Sonntag Morgen amongst others. A surging, almost broken beat style is at play, turning “Distance” into a more powerful and punchy rework. By the time the melancholic hook creeps in it really sets it off, adding emotion to the thundering beat.
