DT:Premiere | Jor-El - In Dark Places (Jay Clarke Remix) [Be As One]

Be As One readies the sixty seventh EP scheduled for the end of the month created by Swedish producer Joel Alter also known as Jor-El whose music can be found on anywhere from DJ Hell’s International DeeJay Gigolo Records, Kontra Musik, Echocord, and Sweatshop.

Also included on the In Dark Places EP is a remix from London based artist Jay Clarke who has become a leading light go the UK scene with his music appearing on Ben Klock’s Klockworks, Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD, 20/20 Vision, and his own BLACKAXON label.

For this DT:Premiere we selected Jay’s rework of lead track “In Dark Places” focuses on a punchy beat and using delayed stabs to create hypnotic atmospherics. Rising in looming tension, the haunting melodies are propped up by the somewhat stripped back and jackn’ groove giving breathing room, but always keeping a solid foundation perfect for the dance floor.
