DT:Premiere | Michel Lauriola - 4.2 + Miki Craven - P.S.M.F [Different is Different]

Different is Different Records hail from Brazil, is ran by Greencross and have plenty of heavy hitters on their roster from Ken Ishii to Tom Hades. We had to pick 2 tracks from the forthcoming Sónar Sampler 2015 as they were both stand outs for us from this lovely large package.

DT:Premiere | Michel Lauriola - 4.2 + Miki Craven - P.S.M.F [Different is Different]

Firstly we have “4.2” by quality Venezuelan producer Michel Lauriola who runs the stunning 43 Recordings with none other than Alex Bau.

Driving from the start, some uprising and airy pads catch your attention before shakers light up the deep groove and the pads open up and tease. At the break a haunting high note creates tension and adds to the already spaced out feel. A solid roller that will work any floor like a dream.

The second cut is from Barcelona based Miki Craven and owner of Dead Rose Records. His track “P.S.M.F” is top draw work and with EPs on Dynamic Reflection, remixing the likes of Funk D’Void on Soma to Danny Tenaglia selecting his remix for his recent Balance Music mix CD, he is another artist to watch closely.

The track has an unrelenting power and euphoric feel from some tasty chords set in the background. Always pushing forward it’s another floor worker that really hits the spot.
