DT:Premiere | NX1 - 024 (P.E.A.R.L. Remix) [Nexe]

Nexe Records is the vinyl label ran by Spanish duo NX1 also known as their solo projects Samot and Surit.

Along with sublabel NX1, Nexe has a focus on their solo material, and the first two instalments of remixes included the likes of Go Hiyama, AnD, Orphx and Scalameriya amongst others.

From covering the second EP of this remix series, we were keen to see what was to come. The NX1 Remixed EP 3 features another four diverse selection including reworks by The Exaltics, P.E.A.R.L., Blush Response and label boss Samot stepping in for good measure.

We selected the remix of “024” by Spanish titan P.E.A.R.L. for this DT:Premiere, who has close ties to Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup amongst releases for Weekend Circuit and Tommy Four Seven’s 47 for example. The Falling Ethics label head uses a thundering groove with gritty effects that generate a punchy, club driven, moody sound. Devastating and poignant, this understated gem demands full attention.
