DT:Premiere | Kristin Velvet - Friday The 12th (Cari Lekebusch Mantis Mix) [Arms & Legs]

Australian Kristin Velvet now calls Berlin home, heading up the Arms & Legs label alongside owners Daniel Steinberg and Nils Ohrmann.

Kristin has been involved in the music industry in a variety of roles, from running events and DJing in Tokyo, to managing the quality rock label Domino Records based in the UK, proving her pedigree and musical acumen. Her track productions have also garnered support from names such as Maya Jane Coles, Adam Beyer and Dave Clarke amongst others, which is some seal of approvals to project her forward.

Swedish doyen and H-Productions bossman Cari Lekebusch provides two remixes on this great EP to really push it to new heights. An artist that should need no introduction, Cari has released on imprints like Kombination Research, Mote-Evolver, Sleaze and fellow Swede stable Drumcode.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the second remix of “Friday the 12th” which jumps in with a funky, jackin’ beat. Keeping a low key and understated groove, this is a prime example of less is more. Of course with any Lekebusch jam of late, it packs a punch that will test any sound system while firmly aimed at the dance floor, confidently blending a warm-up vibe with peak time dexterity.
