Existentia is the new label being launched by its founder, the Barcelona-based Flug, who also looks to introduce productions under his real name going forward after music appearing on Nina Kraviz’s Trip and Marco Faraone’s UNCAGE in recent months.
The four tracks on Body Tales EP show his forever impressive production strengths, opening with a leftfield, dreamy, electro jam, followed by gothic inspired tones, then a trippy, mind-altering weapon.
For this DT:Premiere we selected the closing track “Progression” that is a slice of blistering, and raw contemporary techno with a most certain nod to that of Detroit. Its thundering bottom end and satisfying chord stabs propel it forward, where every sound is laid out and programmed to pure and perfect, precision.

Q&A with Sebastian Lopez aka Flug
> 01. What was the thinking behind this track and did you achieve what you set out?
Honestly the track was been included really last minute, I had this project in my Ableton folder for months before, but I never had time to finish it. A few days before the masters of the EP were finished, I found it and I completed it in two hours! I loved it so much that I decided to included it in this EP because I think it fitted perfectly with the concept of the label… it’s an arid and hectic tune, but without excesses, delivering a thinking-forward dance floor track to be played when the crowd is needing intensity.
> 02. What tips and advice can you share to any producers on shaping their own sound?
Well, this sounds a cliché, but I will say: be yourself, no matter what people say, don’t lose yourself on criticism, follow your own rules, use your time right, be constant, positive, and never stop until your objective is done, even there… work harder.
> 03. What is your go to track at the moment by another artist?
The Advent “Foothold” [Klockworks] (2020)
