DT:Premiere | Scan X & Electric Rescue - Nanterre in 1994 [Skryptöm]

 

Welcoming the new year in style as well their milestone 50th release French imprint Skryptöm have long been a label that pushes for excellence, maintaining itself at the forefront of techno and its varying degrees of styles. The new compilation titled Gathering Generations includes interesting contributions from heads like Umwelt, Rrose, Amotik and Marc Houle.

There are a few pioneers of the Paris scene and it’s a pleasure to introduce two of them here with a special collaboration in the form of Scan X whose releases span back to 1993 and Electric Rescue the label owner and favourite of legendary Rex Club.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track “Nanterre in 1994” with a broken, funked out beat at its core and fully fleshed out with modular hits and analogue licks. Patience is rewarded with gothic overtones of soul searching chords contrasting with its powerful rhythms and prolific drum patterns.
