DT:Premiere | Mayfie - Echoes in Silence [trau-ma]

Paramount Portuguese label, trau-ma, is ran by techno aficionado Robert Hoff, and its extensive catalogue of quality underground techno also has a keen eye for developing talent listing releases by the likes of Luca Tresque, Amine Kohb, Ket Robinson, and many more.

The newest EP titled Fragments of Us welcomes the return of Montreal-based Frenchman Mayfie, who is a stalwart in the local scene, listing clubs and festivals appearances in his repertoire over the years alongside DVS1, Radio Slave and Secret Cinema, as well as his production contributions to labels such as Diffuse Reality, Modern Minimal, and Atroxx’s Starskream.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “Echoes in Silence” which is a pretty ferocious offering. It’s powerful and driving sound incorporates mechanical elements with dystopian, laser-like effects, and its thundering, analogue percussion is made for destroying the dance floor in style.
