Noogstar

Born in New York City in 1986, Noogstar was exposed to music from a very early age thanks in part to his father’s love of music. He grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Genesis, Bob Marley and Kraftwerk, bands which still influence his productions to this very day. As childhood rolled into adoles​cence, Noogstar started to broaden his musical horizon.

This was the time when he discovered the likes of Slipknot and Pantera and it was also during this period in his life that his love for electronic music sprouted. Inspired by artists such as Fairmont, Jeff Mills, Nathan Fake, James Holden, Gary Beck, James Ruskin, Jay Lumen, Oxia, Slam and Anton PIeete, Noogstar started DJing, quickly establ​ishing himself thanks to his electr​ifying live sets and on stage persona.

Noogstar’s style is contin​uously evolving. Dedicating an average of 10 hours a day to his music, he is always on the hunt for new sounds and ideas, regularly creating loops and effects to use in his live sets and produc​tions. These person​alized sounds and effects makes his style of music unique. A style charac​terized by deep, mellow breaks quickly followed by dark techno- driven beats and melodies, accompanied of course by the movement of the crowd and the grin on their faces.
