Characterised by his desire to continually explore new ideas, discover new sounds and connect with like minds, his passion lends to a nomadic lifestyle and sometimes erratic manner that all add to the complex puzzle of this talented musician. No doubt unique and versatile with an uninhabited approach, Patrik Carrera draws on his experiences in developing dramatic expressions via his ever growing label Paranoid Dancer, alongside releases through long established techno labels such as Planet Rhythm and Mark Broom’s imprint, Beard Man.

His sounds have gained the support of artists such as Slam, Ben Sims, Laurent Garnier, Mark Broom, Secret Cinema, DVS1, Samuli Kemppi & Bart Skills. His label has gained a greater following also including Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Gregor Tresher, Loco Dice, HOSH, The Advent and Joel Mull.

Whilst he continually embraces each moment, he is firmly focused on what’s next, often short fragments are spared to draw on what it was that lead to this point. Carrera has played many roles; the professional footballer, the vinyl pusher at the local record store, the club promoter at long running underground club nights, touring DJ taking in places like Brazil, Hong Kong, Russia, Holland, South Korea, China, Romania and professional sound designer. These contrasts granted him many positive perspectives and a genuine appreciation helping shape his exploratory mind set and particular personality, a charm that clearly lends to every interaction you might possibly have with him.
