Abyss Recordings is a new label based in Manchester, UK and ran by a bunch of guys that are making their dreams come true by putting together refreshing VA releases of talented producers with one common ground… quality Techno.
Confluence is their third package to be released very soon and comes with four brilliant tracks with a deep spine throughout and a dancefloor tip to boot.
“Forge Your Convictions” from the French producer Catartsis is the first in line. Dub style synths quickly turn into a pounding journey between scratching percussions and spaced out pads for mind travelling fanatics.
Melodic scores from multiple synthesisers is what predominates in “Primal” by American producer Guise. A vast combination of layers and raw sound compositions added to a throbbing kick, give this a striking depth and makes for intriguing listening.
BYLLY from Poland is a producer making his second appearance on the label, this time with “Lost In The North Pole” consisting of a pulsating bass track with hypnotic elements. Accompanied by sweet melodies and grainy tops, this will hook you up instantly with an effective energy lying underneath that’s hard to shake.
“Lucky” has more complex arrangements, soothing pads begin to drive you upward through shaking textures until a twisted roar that works as a melody adds some epic power. From the Netherlands, producer Kracht embodies the perfect track for closing this magnificent compilation.
