The excellent Spanish based label Dust REC. are an offshoot of Getting Projects booking agency, which helps support artists on their roster. Looking at their 8th release due soon they have featured artists like Kwartz, Hector Oaks and H. Paul for example.
Friend of DT, South Korean Soolee makes his debut with his EP titled Cinder. Contributions also arrive from one to watch Jose Pouj and the very interesting duo called Agnosia.
“Surge” is an atmospheric breather, that swirls from the bottom up. Beginning like a dormant tornado getting ready to spin again, the tension slowly rises by way of some screeching chords and pinging bells all the while the beat remains punchy, deep and exciting as it progresses. Breaking out into more melody parts this is a perfect storm that can be used as a secret weapon for various points of a set.

Q&A with Soolee
> 01. What was the thinking behind this track and did you achieve what you set out?
My works are started from all different areas. Surge was inspired from one technique I tried from many experiments and Cinder was inspired by a sound I heard in my imagination when I saw a concrete wall at an unnamed street.
> 02. What tips and advice can you share to any producers on shaping their own sound?
I saw the movie Interstellar and I felt Techno can have 5 dimensions. I can’t describe what exactly it was, but I know what I want produce.. It’s hard to explain, however I’m sure someone will understand what I’m talking about. I want to achieve a special innovation and it’s almost in my hand, there are many problems, but I’m trying to solve it.
> 03. What is your go to track at the moment by another artist?
It’s very interesting structure and sound. I play this track a lot in my DJ Sets.
