Belgium based by way of Spain, comes Dany Rodriguez with his new album titled Galaxies Compared. A magical collection of interesting creations, from intricate soundscapes to deep and throbbing machine-licked Techno. A truly great arrangement of hypnotic ebbs and flows, exploring new creative ideas with each render.
Released on his own imprint RMR his pedigree is apparent by being remixed by the likes of James Ruskin, The Advent, Tom Hades and Mark Broom amongst others, featuring on Marco Bailey’s MB Elektronics also.
We selected the last of the vinyl tracks, called “Pluton” for this DT:Premiere as its rolling, looping and spaced out style instantly caught our attention. The engaging sonics and lushess tones are a fine example of why you should check out this album in its entirety and that we can’t recommend enough to those who like the sweet taste of brain food.

Q&A with Dany Rodriguez
> 01. What was the thinking behind this track and did you achieve what you set out?
My wish was to reflect something intense and specific with the old gear I used in making it. Most of the time I’m thinking about a track few days before and i try to reflect and make it work well in conjunction with my first thoughts.
> 02. What tips and advice can you share to any producers on shaping their own sound?
I believe that there are a lot of things needed to become a good producer, but I also think that first it must be good for yourself and that you enjoy what you are doing. Not doing it because it’s cool or because it’s fashion or whatever. I also hate to be in one style and do only one type of electronic music. I always try to discover new paths and learn more and more about the music and the instruments I enjoy to play with.
For me personally the environment you produce in and the acoustics are also very important. For the last 4 years I have worked in a different way and it helped me a lot. I try to work always standing up and also to have easy access to my all instruments. Also trying to work just 2 days a week maximum and to come only to my studio when I have a good and powerful energy.
> 03. What is your go to track at the moment by another artist?
One track that really captures my attention at the moment is a tune by Ben Long of Space DJz called “Sounds like Saturn” that will be out in December on my new label RMRI (Rodriguez Music Invitational) Chapter001. The way that Ben uses the sounds on it are captivating and very specific.
