DT:Premiere | François X - Clarity Bell [EXHALE]

EXHALE is the latest label launch from Belgian phenom Amelie Lens and also linked to the event series of the same name. The first instalment sees the release of a fifteen track compilation with artists such as Regal, Obscure Shape & SHDW, Klangkuenstler, Antigone and many more contributing to the project.

Paris-based François X is a much revered producer and has a quality over quantity output that has seen his music land on Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup, DJ Deep’s Deeply Rooted, Insolate’s Out of Place and Taapion for example.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Clarity Bell” that steps outside the usual box and into more of an experimental state as such. Fusing menacing, abstract string samples with dreamy aesthetics he creates a haunting atmosphere of suspense and leftfield tones with a raw and driving undertone.
