Blank Code, a record label based in Detroit, USA, has been a driving force in the techno scene, boasting releases by acclaimed artists like Bas Mooy, Mike Parker, and Brian Sanhaji. Their latest offering, Stuck in My Mind marks a collaboration between techno stalwarts Drumcell and Luis Flores.
Drumcell, a fixture on Blank Code since its inception in 2012, joins forces once again with Luis Flores, following their previous collaboration, ‘Flux,’ in 2016. Drumcell’s exquisite productions have earned him a reputation as a legend in the Los Angeles techno scene, with releases on esteemed labels like Rødhad’s Dystopian and Chris Liebing’s CLR.
The second half of this masterclass is Luis Flores, a respected figure in the Mexican techno community, brings his signature style to the fore, also having contributed to Blank Code on multiple occasions previously. His impressive discography includes releases on labels like Emmanuel’s ARTS and CLR.
The EP also features remixes from Anthony Jimenez and Truncate, both revered figures in the techno community. Jimenez’s remix of “Stuck in My Mind” adds a new layer of intensity, while Truncate delivers a jackin’ and percussive workout that injects even more energy into the track.
The four tracks featured on Stuck in My Mind are a journey into the depths of techno, with each track offering a unique sonic experience. From the haunting textures of the title track to the brooding atmosphere of “Milk Daze,” this EP showcases the diversity and creativity that defines Blank Code’s sound. Mastered by Anthony Jimenez and featuring artwork by Cesar Acosta, it’s a must-have for any true techno collector.
