PHYC is a dynamic Portuguese DJ and producer based in Amsterdam, deeply immersed in the evolving landscape of the Dutch techno scene. With a distinctive mixing style, the vision behind every performance is to create a continuously changing sound, combining tracks into a single moving unit, maintaining a high level of energy.

Starting his journey in London, PHYC performed at notable venues like Ministry of Sound, Club Aquarium, and Rolling Stock. His pursuit of a harder sound led him to Amsterdam, where he has played at Club Atelier, OT301, 8sixA, John Doe, and Recycle Lounge Gallery Club. His commitment to quality has earned him opportunities beyond the Netherlands, with performances in Portugal, Italy, Turkey, and Vietnam.
In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, PHYC initiated “The New Switcheroo” with the Pineapple Project, hosting livestreamed events across Portugal, that highlighted the resilience of the techno community and showcased emerging artists.

Further solidifying his impact, PHYC launched the UNNOTED podcast series, which highlights lesser-known artists from Amsterdam and beyond. With an emphasis on extended sets and peak-time energy, the series has already produced 50 episodes and hosted events at venues like OT301 and 8sixA, each with a capacity exceeding 180 attendees. Notable featured artists include Mesh Convergence, CucaRafa, Augusto Taito, and Lidvall. With nearly 800 followers across platforms and tens of thousands of plays, UNNOTED continues to resonate within the Dutch nightlife scene.
