Turbo Turbo are the two German brothers Bernd and Manfred who built up a repution with their “Breakdown Analysis EP” in 2013 which people around the world from Boys Noize, Brodinski, Zombie Nation, Soulwax to Maelstrom, Louisahhh, Oliver and beyond were supporting. Beatport voted the Track “Your Mind” as ‘Track of the Day’ and Brodinski & Louisahhh mixed the tune in their 30th Birthday Mixtape for Mixmag. The EP was at 5 in the Beatport Indie Dance Charts. Reviews in several Dance Music Magazines followed (8/10 DJ Mag etc).
Their 8th release was stronger than ever. “Saturate EP” is a massive 3 Track EP incl. the Hit Single “Jack Your House”. This Track bounced away all dance floors over the world. Boys Noize, Surkin, David Carretta, Brodinski, Djedjotronic and many many more played the track in their Sets. Laura Leishmann with her French Radio Show and Annie Nightingale on BBC Radio 1 dropped this track week after week. One month after this release Turbo Turbo released their next collab Single with the GND Head S-File. It was called “Refusion” and got massive support from Soulwax, Jacques Lu Cont, Groove Armada and many more. Dave Clarke voted the track as #2 in his September 2013 DJ charts and played it many times in his sets and well known White Noise Radio Show. Remixes for Zombie Nation (UKW), Thomas Schumacher (Electric Ballroom), Shadow Dancer (GND), Mason (BMKLTSCH), Molecule (Mile Feuilles) and Swim (Bad Life) followed after their success with their last 3 releases. Next was a Ep called “Promethean” which was again widely supported by Boys Noize, Dave Clarke (also in White Noise Radio Show), Jacques Lu Cont, Thomas Schumacher, Alex Metric, Funk D’Void, Djedjotronic etc.. Monki played that Ep in her radio show on BBC Radio1 regularly and DJ Mag reviewed it (8/10) in their December edition.
Their following release “Contact” which is again a collab with S-File came out in March 2014 also on vinyl. The single was hugely played by big names like Dave Clarke, Brodinski, Tiga, Zombie Nation, Groove Armada and more. This constant output draws attention to Hamburg’s famous Electro House duo Moonbootica who asked for a Turbo Turbo remix of their new Single “Beats & Lines” which was released mid 2014. The long awaited new own release followed late 2014. The single was called “Refractions/Mindset” and was ‘the most Techno’ like stuff that came out from the TT guys as The Japanese Popstars stated correctly. Further amazing feedback came from Ben Sims, Florian Meindl, Truncate, Thomas Schumacher and so on.
Latest EP’s in 2015 “Leitzeiten” & “Headway” are a return to classic House and Techno. The tracks are also available on vinyl and earned massive support from Ben Sims, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Green Velvet, Luke Slater, Dan Curtin, Unbalance, Groove Armada, Zombie Nation, Tensnake, Agaric, Peter Echoplex, Paul Mac, Boys Noize, Digitalism, Paul Nazca, Goldffinch, Josepf Capriati and many many more. The last years were amazing for Turbo Turbo. They played gigs at the famous Womb Club in Tokyo, in Seoul, Paris, Grenoble, Nantes, Liege and in many German cities. Expect more exiting stuff from these guys…
