DEAD CERT. Records is a label linked to the well known website deathtechno.com ran by Jack! Who? in the UK. A diverse palette has seen the previous releases feature music from artists including Audio Injection / Truncate, Hans Bouffmyhre, Paul Mac, Joachim Spieth, DJ Spider and Eomac to name but a few.

Eugene Chizhkov aka Confluence hails from Russia and comes following appearances on Attemporal’s ATT Series and Intellighenzia Electronica Records. A great work ethic and creative outlook delivers two fantastic original tracks on his “Pressure” EP.

Two remixes in tow see Marco Effe (Cocoon/On Edge Society) and Shkedul (ARTS/Sonntag Morgen) bring new twists and turns to complete the package.

Berlin based Marco Paoletti has a vast history, diversity and pedigree of productions on the likes of Sven Väth’s Cocoon, Dubfire’s SCI+TEC, Luca Agnelli’s Etruria Beat and many more. His sound has now become underground and fully Techno focused making him ripe for inclusion to this release.

Andrea Fremiotti aka Shkedul is a top Italian talent rising through the ranks with music on Emmanuel’s ARTS, Sonntag Morgen and Alex Dolby’s Affekt for example.

“Scalar Field” opens with pulsing energy that constantly morphs into a powerful ride demanding your full attention. Laced with dancefloor traits, it delivers in all areas and will no doubt become a stand out track in any peak time DJ set.

Second in is Marco Effe’s remix that brings a new funked up beat to proceedings with a sinister underlying mood. Groove fuelled and retaining the original’s electric hook, this creates a fine alternative for those who like a touch of well worked flavour.

Track three sees Shkedul flip out with a serious interpretation that is full of layers and hidden tweaks. An organic, hypnotic and swirling drive make for a highly interesting journey that draws you into new realms.

“Manometric” is a stomping monster, lit up with an eerie rolling lead from the off. Static screeches and dark atmospherics generate a tension that is refreshing and ready to work the floor.
