DT:Premiere | Truncate - Sparse [Sleaze]

Hans Bouffmyhre leads his Sleaze label to a 10 year milestone and enlists a powerhouse roster to celebrate the second part of their decade celebrations.

The Originals is an eight track VA that features Gary Beck, Truncate, Cari Lekebusch, Rebekah, Alex Bau, Kyle Geiger, Progression (UK), and the boss himself Hans Bouffmyhre, making this a dazzling array of techno talent under one roof.

The track we selected for this DT:Premiere is by Los Angeles based Truncate, who should need no introduction. His music has been a mainstay of 50 Weapons, Luke Slater’s Mote-Evolver, Len Faki’s Figure, his local Droid Recordings and of course his ongoing self titled Truncate project.

“Sparse” wanders a slightly different road for what some may expect, where gritty, analogue synths tear through the soundscape providing constant absorption over and under the jacked up beat section. Throw in some eerie squeals from high pitched drones and we think this is a winning recipe from one of the master producers out there.
