DEAD CERT. Records is a label linked to the well known website deathtechno.com ran by Jack! Who? in the UK. A diverse palette has seen the previous releases feature music from artists including Audio Injection / Truncate, Hans Bouffmyhre, Joachim Spieth, DJ Spider and TWR72 and to name but a few.
Victor Villarroya aka Pushmann is a Spanish artist who is certainly picking up heat after appearances on ARTS, Clutch Trax and Naked Lunch for example. A collaboration with Orlando Voorn is due out on Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records soon, plus his music has been remixed by Paul Mac, Krenzlin and Energun also. “Finder” is a mental trip with energy and urgency from the dominating alarm-like riff ready to punish any dancefloor.
This feisty single includes three magnificent remixes by Echoplex (Soleil / Soma), H. Paul (Induxtriall / Labrynth) and Redial Tone (Subsist / Monocline) to complete the package.
Echoplex is a long serving and respected artist from Poland, who comes with a high pedigree. Running his own Soleil imprint he has also released on labels like Soma, Index Marcel Fengler, Synewave and ARTS. His rework becomes more aggressive and subtle, with a wealth of added melodies, layers and grit he creates a powerful and driving interpretation.
Contributing from Spain is H. Paul, the head of Induxtriall Records who has releases to come on DEAD CERT. Records, Ricardo Garduno’s Illegal Alien and Alex Bau’s 43 Recordings amongst others. His tough and hypnotic rework is full of wonder and hidden charm from a bass fuelled belly and rich textures.
Label favourite Redial Tone from Montenegro resurfaces following his Hope & Despair EP that picked up love from DJ Deep, Samuli Kemppi, Anthony Parasole and Jonas Kopp amongst many others. His remix is cut from a different cloth, using a broken rhythm to full effect, the whirring synths are mesmerising behind its tough and raw analogue aesthetic.
