We’ve long been fans of Amsterdam’s Keith Carnal a tastemaker of tough, chunky and melody inspired techno that has landed his work on labels such as ARTS, Afterlife, Affin and Dynamic Reflection.
His latest project is also his debut album titled Retrofit that comes by way of his new label “Second Degree” or officially stylised as SEC NDº on most platforms. The imprint is set to be the stable for his own productions it seems with two EP’s released since launching in late 2018.
For this DT:Premiere we selected “Moving Molecules” that has a thumping beat, delayed licks and atmospherics to build intriguing tension. As the hats appear and the groove fully takes hold, it’s the layers of super-soft, rolling, bell tones that bring beauty and imagination to the fold. Absolutely set for greatness, this delicate jam will light up any dance floor that gets the pleasure to hear it.
