DT:Premiere | Responder - Fade [Planet Rhythm]

The legendary Rotterdam imprint Planet Rhythm formed in the early ’90s continues its strong release schedule that has seen many top artists such as Bas Mooy, Sleeparchive, Oscar Mulero, TWR72, Adam Beyer, Woo York and many more appear previously.

Dropping their second EP in the space of a few months for Planet Rhythm, the German duo Responder first contributed a VA track spanning back to 2016. Made up of Rico Henschel and Benjamin Sanker, the pair have also released on other great labels like Hans Bouffmyhre’s Sleaze and Florian Meindl’s FLASH Recordings.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the closing track “Fade” that is a perfect example of a rolling groove. A deep pumping kick drum and moody atmosphere are met with droning, electric pulses, woodwind inspired accents and pristine claps. Full of mystery and a dystopian ethos, this an understated piece of techno mastery that speaks to your soul.
