DT:Premiere | Gaetano Parisio - 03/10 A Side [ART]

Gaetano Parisio is nothing short of a techno legend. A long serving artist who influenced the techno scene since way back in 1997, the Naples-based DJ and producer has released music on labels like Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, The Advent’s Kombination Research and Primate, to his own Conform, Southsoul, and ART Records.

The extensive ART (Advanced Techno Research) project was formed in 1998 and featured a 24-track collection of vinyl, well known for its unusual format: a sequence of releases that progress numerically, with each block of ten signifying a distinct musical stage. Only when each series is finished does the label’s message become fully apparent, as each record reflects a distinct aspect of the overall artistic vision.

In December 2024, Gaetano has decided to release the whole remastered catalogue digitally for the first time along with two special and unreleased works. Officially titled ART Records - Advanced Techno Research - Back Catalogue he is reinvigorating these classic productions for the community and new generation of artists to enjoy.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “03/10 A Side” that has a rough and gritty sound. Driving and loopy, this hardgroove classic is intense and percussive, with a fierce, analogue mood from relentless stabbing synth elements, it’s a fervent dance floor tool.
