Javier Caballero aka Audiolux starts his way in the music since he begins to feel attraction for Dark Wave and Gothic Rock sounds such as Joy Division or The Smiths. Under the influence of Madrid’s electronic music movement, he began to discover EBM artists and groups such as Nitzer Ebb, Front 242 or A Split Second.
Constantly improving, he remains closer to the style that defines him nowadays, being Birmingham sound and UK Techno. Making his first incursion into the creation of sounds using drum machines, synthesizers and trackers. At the early age of 18, he begins to play at events and clubs in his home town, where he keeps growing up as a DJ, thanks to his perfect technique and skill on the decks. Soon after, he had the opportunity to play warm up sets to artists such as Surgeon, Inigo Kennedy, Regis, James Ruskin, Oscar Mulero, Reeko, Exium, Christian Wünsch.
His sets are in constant evolution and improvement, from the purest Detroit sound to hypnotic, deep, heavy and dark Techno. He pays close attention to leading artists such as Ben Klock, DVS1, Marcel Dettmann, Lucy, Scuba, Sigha or Shifted and is constantly influenced by them.
Javier is currently living in Barcelona, where he had the opportunity to work with well-known local artists and different collectives, labels and clubs. He has a monthly residence at Insert club and also plays at events in some clubs of the city like Moog, BeCool Club, LeBako, Technodrome.
Audiolux has other artistic projects to express different musical concepts. He is also known as Tramp or Other Faiths.
