Diagenetic Origin

Diagenetic Origin came into existence when Andreas, a hardcore and punk drummer, got deeply involved in techno via the electronic music scene in Norrköping, Sweden. After meeting Adam X in Berlin while spray painting together, he was inspired to make his own vision of techno come alive. He started taking production more seriously and began to shape his ideas and approaches into solid outputs that carry the genetic makeup of Diagenetic Origin.

With three well-received EPs (and more to come) released on Adam X’s Sonic Groove imprint, Diagenetic Origin’s productions, and his live sets in particular, can be characterised as hard, dark and energetic techno, highlighting his unique drumming background - rhythmically edgy and challenging beats that go well beyond 4/4, all crossed with long, drawn out and captivating melodies…
