DT:Premiere | Time Traveler - Chronicles of 1957 (DJ Hyperactive Remix) [Chronicles Diary] (incl. Q&A)

After rolling out an abstract, industrial and equally interesting new album called I’m Made of Stars on his new label project, Time Traveler has put together the first remix package laced with some tough Techno stalwarts. Brian Sanhaji, Bas Mooy, Black Asteroid and DJ Hyperactive are enlisted for some rejigging and knob twiddling each bringing something very different from the last.

From the heavy duty package we selected the remix by Chicago legend DJ Hyperactive who is always on point, having appeared on labels such as CLR, Figure and Los Angeles’ Droid for example. The result for “Chronicles of 1957” is a crunchy, jacking, acid soaked effort, that rides a raw club sound and roars with stomping energy.

A Q&A with the Time Traveler can be read below, as well as some album audio previews…

Order the 12″ vinyl album at Limited Moleskin or Gatefold + Inserts.

Q&A with Time Traveler

> 01. I’m Made Of Stars has a pretty diverse sound palette, what inspired you in putting together such an experimetal collection?
I’ve found my deeper inspiration in what I love: art, science, cyberpunk movies, fashion, brutalist architectures… all the modern form of aestethics.

> 02. What tips and advice can you share to any producers on shaping their own sound?
I think the best thing an artist can do is to follow his instinct, and forget about the commercial side. Just in this way you can take the role of game changer.

> 03. What is your go to track at the moment by another artist?
At the moment I’m completely addicted to Regis remix of Stave‘s “Hardened Chord” out on REPITCH.
