When a Techno vinyl lands in the post from Sweden, what’s not to like? Reformellt is a remix pack from the Motormännen EP titled Informellt that combines political commentary with futuristic Acid Techno jams.

The first of four remixes is from the well known Stockholm duo Manic Brothers who are known for appearances on Drumcode, Soma and Sleaze amongst others. Their interpretation of “Mellanvåg” takes it straight to the club with a driving groove and some tense atmospherics highlighted with perfectly pitched melodic stabs.

Inter Gritty of Random Island Records (who we Premiered recently) takes on “Smalspåret” adding some nice industrial crunch. Heavy and jackin’ it’s a stand out rework, oozing class as well as mind bending traits that gets me completely hooked.

Another favourite here is from the illustrious Nima Khak of the label project SAND, who is also a regular collaborator with Jesper Dahlbäck. Taking “Dagslåneräntan” down a slightly twisted and funkier style, also focusing on a rolling and hypnotic sense that’s dialled in for good measure.

The final remix from Ragnar Atari of “Expansionen” plays around with catchy acid hooks over a fairly stripped back beat more akin to dark Tech House that will make a stunning warm up track with it’s moody vibe.

Great variation across the board from superb artists in their own right, providing DJ tools that can stimulate any situation and allowing a weapon of choice for the task at hand.
