DT:Premiere | Avision - What You Wanted (DJ Rush Remix) [On Edge Society]

Carlio Lio and Kareem Cali are respected label owners in their own right, and combining their love for a new project they created On Edge Society in 2014 that is based out of Brooklyn, New York. Their back catalogue is as you’d expect littered with artists at the top of their game such as Truncate, Dustin Zahn, ROD, Andre Kronert and TWR72 to name only few.

Their thirteenth EP includes an array of funked up styles from fellow New Yorker Avision and included in the pack is Chicago born, now Berlin based titan DJ Rush.

Isaiah Major aka DJ Rush has been releasing music for over 27 years, a feat that can only be admired the world over. Be it running his own Kne’ Deep imprint or releasing on top labels like Green Velvet’s Relief or Monika Kruse’s Terminal M, the hugely in demand DJ knows how to bring the goods time and time again.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his remix of the title track “What You Wanted” that’s simply a smattering of raw energy. From the thundering beat to the throbbing bass plus vocal howls, this is a prime example of a juggernaut rework that ticks all the boxes.
