DT:Premiere | False Witness - Devil May Cry (Henning Baer Remix) [E-Missions]

E-Missions is a New York based imprint ran by P.Leone and Caiazzo that has a vast mix of styles included in their back catalogue, but revolving around a spine of analogue influences.

The seventh EP comes from False Witness who seems to locate himself between NYC and Los Angeles, no doubt drawing upon the local scenes with a couple of respected DJ residencies under his belt. This is his first release and it certainly comes at breakneck speed, making a statement of intent with some aggressive, tearing techno.

Featuring on remix duty is Berlin’s Henning Baer known for running MANHIGH Recordings and bringing his abstract beats to other labels such as Adam X’s Sonic Groove or Psyk’s Non Series amongst others.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his remix of “Devil May Cry” that’s a screeching industrial workout full of funk and gritty tension. The killer drum sweep is a piece of art in itself and there’s plenty going on with it’s bleeping hook to make this powerful tool for those who want to really bring the house down.
