Filip Xavi

Coming from Belgrade Serbia, Filip Xavi is recognised as one of the pillars of the local contemporary techno scene and resident DJ of Belgrade’s Drug§tore. As a rebel against genre/trend confinements he was always attracted to the more cerebral and darker side of techno music, manipulating with hypnotic and abstract musical structures, combining them with relentless drums wich in time developed into his own recognisable style.

After appearances on several labels including his own Teskoba Recordings, in spring 2013 his first solo EP “Inline Agents” was released on Spain’s Subsist Records. November 2015 saw Filip’s debut vinyl EP “Explanation Skip” including Dasha Rush remix, published by Sonntag Morgen on their seventh vinyl instalment, having received notable support from the main players on the techno circuit.

As Drug§tore resident, over the past three years he hosted and played alongside names such as: Rødhåd, DVS1, Dasha Rush, Surgeon, Oscar Mulero, Ø [Phase], Dimi Angelis, Ancient Methods, Shifted, Stanislav Tolkachev, Adam X, Elektrabel, Tommy Four Seven, Blawan, Developer, and many more.

This sequence of events led to the multiple invitations to Berlin’s legendary Tresor club (August 2014 and November 2015).
Filip continues to pursue his mission of taking the audience into uncharted territory of sound and space, an approach that fills the dancefloor with mystique and suspense on a path to catharsis.
