DT:Premiere | Shlomi Aber - Midnight Spooks [Be As One]

Once again Shlomi Aber shows us why he continues to be a leader and move to the beat of his own drum. As his ravishing third solo album titled Linear Equation draws ever closer to release, he comes bearing gifts to which we have a preview of one of the standout tracks to be featured on his own Be As One imprint.

After appearances on legendary labels like R&S, Josh Wink’s Ovum to Sven Väth’s Cocoon, Shlomi sticks with his rather unique stripped back sound, that’s full of life, analogue love and a tailor made funk fused to the rhythm.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “Midnight Spooks” that has an abundance of interesting characteristics in its arsenal. The acid lead licks create an instant attraction, the additional droning pads show a sombre and emotional twist, all on top of a huge, raw groove that is powerful and ultimately aimed at the dancefloor. It’s mixture of vibe is extremely hard to pull off with the right balance, but he manages to execute it with a sincere satisfaction.
