Suburban Avenue is ran by Italian production duo Asymptote. The label is set up as a channel for championing established artists, as well as underground talent breaking through.
The Resistance Vol II is the newest compilation from the Berlin based stable that comes stacked with 19 unreleased original tracks from producers including Eric Cloutier, Jeroen Search, Tripeo, Pär Grindvik, The Gods Planet, and many more. The whole package is also available as a continuous mix curated by Z.I.P.P.O, which makes this a fairly prized possession and becoming a key product for the labels catalogue and techno fans alike.
The DT:Premiere we selected is by skilled Spanish stalwart and PoleGroup member Kwartz who lists appearances on Bas Mooy’s Mord, Lewis Fautzi’s Faut Section, and Ricardo Garduno’s Illegal Alien respectively.
His track “Drama” launches in with a skipping beat and hypnotic textures, subtle drones are introduced adding a deeper and progressive mood. The break emphasises a poignant and dystopian visual before the haunting techno aesthetic reappears, making this an exquisite piece of music that also will entice a dance floor given the right setting.
